Mirjana Puhar ANTM Contestant Killed In A Drug Related Event
Mirjana Puhar, seemed to have a lot going for her. She had just finished as one of the top contestants on the hit show “America’s Next Top Model†hosted by Tyra Banks. Anyone who watched the show or had even just seen pictures of Mirjana, could tell this Serbian born woman had talent. That is why it was such a shock to everyone when the title, “Mirjana Puhar ANTM Contestant Killed†was released.
So how did this happen to Mirjana, who seemed to be heading in the right direction? Mirjana, who was shot in the head when she answered the door to her boyfriend’s house, seemed to be hanging out with the wrong crowd. The gunman, Emmanual Jesus Rangel, 19, was arrested and charged last Wednesday. Raangel killed and Mirjana, who was only 19 years old first, then killed Mirjana’s boyfriend, Jonathan Cosme Alvarado, 23, and Alvarado’s roommate Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, 21. All had fatal gunshot wounds to the head. The gunman, Rangel, was also charged in connection with another murder that occurred on Sunday in Matthews, North Carolina.
Police recovered several rounds of ammunition, knives, and drugs. Police also found a safety deposit box and several cell phones at the scene of the crime. This has led police to believe the house may have been a drug den. Family members of the victims are in outrage claiming that was not the cause of this triple homicide. The family members claim it as a robbery, claiming that at least 10 pairs of Alvarado’s Nike shoes were taken. While that may have happened, social media once again outs people and their stupidity for bragging about illegal things. A closer look into Alvarado’s social media accounts paint a different picture than just a random robbery.
Alvarado posted plenty of pictures of drugs, him doing drugs, money spread across a table stating this is his lifestyle, his guns, stolen cellphones he was selling, and many other incriminating pictures. Based on what was found at the scene, which police warrant it enough to call it a drug related homicide, and the pictures posted on social media, Mirjana’s boyfriend was not an innocent bystander.
Everyone that knew Mirjana claims she would never do drugs and even signed a contract stating she would not use drugs for some upcoming events. They claim she was just hanging around with the wrong crowd. Brenda Ische, 59, who helped dress Mirjana for her TV appearances stated, “But I would not for one minute believe that she would take drugs.†Brenda continued, “She was too smart and too focused on her career. She knew she was going places if she looked after herself.†Brenda also stated that in conversations with Mirjana, the emerging model claimed that she had made quite a few mistakes and even admitted to dating “a few losers†in her life. Was Mirjana’s track record with boys what ultimately caused her death? We will have to wait and see what the police find.
