Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, has checked herself into the Soba Recovery Center, a drug and alcohol treatment center in Malibu, California. Baldwin entered rehab last weekend and is expected to remain at the treatment center for two weeks.Gossip blogs have speculated that Ireland Baldwin, who is only 19-years-old, decided to seek treatment at Soba after her mother became worried about her excessive partying. Sources have confirmed that Baldwin was indeed accompanied by her mother as she filled out intake forms last Thursday, April 9. The young model, however, took to Twitter early last week to clear up any rumors about her stay at the rehab facility.

“Apparently I’m in rehab for intensive partying soooo I’m just going to lay pretty low for a bit and maybe get some frozen yogurt,” Baldwin tweeted. She went on to further explain that she had sought treatment at Soba Recovery Center because she was experiencing “emotional trauma.””I checked myself into Soba for two weeks to just get away for a little bit,” she explained over a series of Tweets. “I’m not much a party cat but I am here to deal with…some emotional trauma and getting the intensive therapy I needed in order to recover.”Without going into too much detail, she elaborated, “Someday I’ll feel ready to share my story…openly without feeling the way I do. Right now, I just needed a breather. I need a change to work on myself and gather all the tools…I need to overcome everything that I had been through and rid myself of all the pain I locked away in unreachable places.”

Sources have confirmed that Ireland Baldwin is in a program that allows her to use her cell phone. Soba is a $20,000 a month treatment center for drug and alcohol abuse that helps patients deal with the underlying psychological causes behind their addiction. Baldwin sources, however, deny that the stay is drug-related, insisting that Ireland is going through a “stressful time.”

“Both of my parents, step mom, Carmen, and friends…were all there for me at all times,” she Tweeted Wednesday. “I would also be so grateful if everyone didn’t choose to attack & blame anyone for what I chose to do with my life. I’m taking care of me.”

While the cause of Baldwin’s emotional trauma remains unknown, she Tweeted a denial that her situation had nothing to do with her famous parents or their infamously dirty public divorce. In April 2007, a voicemail was released of an enraged Alec calling his then 11-year-old daughter a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” Ireland has defended her father’s actions and publicly expressed a desire for the media to move on from the incident. In a 2013 Tumblr post, she wrote, “I am proud to be my parent’s daughter, but I don’t want to forever be known as ‘that rude thoughtless little pig.'”
