Seth Gilliam Arrested For DUI and Drugs
“The Waling Dead†actors seem to be appearing in the news for all the wrong reasons lately.
Seth Gilliam arrested for a DUI is the latest in the headlines. Seth Gilliam, who plays Father Gabriel, a priest tormented by his demons and how others should act during the zombie apocalypse, arrested for driving under the influence. He was just driving under the influence, he was driving almost double the speed limit on Georgia Highway 74 in the Peachtree City. This event took place early Monday morning, May 4th, 2015.
Seth Gilliam arrested for drunk driving, was pulled over because he was driving extremely fast down Highway 74. Seth was driving over 107 mph, as the arresting Peachtree City officer stated, “The driver applied the brakes prior to passing my vehicle and was still traveling at 107 mph.â€
Seth Gilliam told the arresting officers that he only had three beers and a shot. When Seth was asked to perform a breathalyzer test, he blew a 0.107. So what other charges was Seth Gilliam arrested for? Upon further investigation the officers stated that they smelled marijuana. The arresting officers performed a search of Gilliam’s car and found a joint hidden in a cigarette pack inside the car. Seth Gilliam now faces charges of speeding, reckless driving, drug possession, and drunken driving.
While Seth Gilliam arrested for these various charges may come as a shock to some, he was not the first cast member to be arrested for drunk driving. Scott Wilson, who played the lovable farmer, patriarch of the group, and recovering alcoholic, was arrest for driving under the influence in the same area where Seth was pulled over. Scott even asked the arresting officer if he could do yoga poses instead of the standard field sobriety test. That obviously did not play out to Wilson’s favor.
Seth Gilliam who also plays a role on the hit MTV show “Teen Wolf†was released after posting a $9,818 bond. Seth also starred in “The Wire†and “The Walking Dead†with Chad L. Coleman who was also just in the news for his antics. Two days before Seth was arrested, a video of Chad L. Coleman went viral. Chad was recorded freaking out and ranting about humanitarians on an NYC train. In the video, Chad appeared to be drunk, but he insists he was not drunk, but very upset about the recent racial events taking place and that someone may have used a derogatory word towards him. Chad immediately apologized for his actions, but stands by his statement that he was not drunk.
Hopefully “The Walking Dead†stars will stay out of the headlines for their bad behavior and maybe make some headlines in a positive direction. While Seth faces many charges with his recent antics, hopefully he has learned his lesson and will not be appearing in the headlines again for the same reason. At least no one was injured this time, but driving under the influence is a very serious and dangerous action.
