Mother Hosted Naked Twister Party With Alcohol and Drugs
Planning activities for a teenager and their friends can be a daunting task. You don’t want to plan anything too childish as to appear like an overzealous parent. Plan anything too risque and it could lead to trouble. A slumber party, a trip to an amusement park, or a professional sporting event are fun, wholesome things that most teenagers experience more than a few times while growing up. What most parents would not consider is a “naked twister party”, which is exactly what Rachel Lynn Lenhardt, age 35, did earlier in April.
Lenhardt, a recovering alcoholic and sex addicted hosted a naked twister party for her teenage daughter (age 16) and a number of her teenage friends. Lenhardt’s daughter questioned her mother, asking if herself and a few of her friends could come over to “party” at her house rather than stay at her father’s home to which her mother replied, “Come over, let’s party.” What ensued was a night of debauchery.
What goes into hosting a naked twister party? According to Lenhardt’s sponsor (whom reported the story to the police) it included alcohol, allowing the teens to smoke marijuana in her home, naked twister and eventually her having sex with multiple young men including her daughters boyfriend. In a twist of irony, the sponsor found out about this eventful evening after meeting with Lenhardt to plan her continued sobriety. When she learned of all the details she immediately reported it to the authorities informing them that not only is Lenhardt a porn addict, she is also a sexual deviant and an alcoholic. Lenhardt has also admitted to showing her teenage daughter pornographic images including some of her and her current boyfriend in compromising positions.
So what kind of punishment comes with planning a naked twister party for your daughter and some of her closest friends? Not enough in my opinion. Rachel Lenhardt was charged to two counts of contributing to the delinqency of a minor and released on $3,200.00 bond from the Columbia County jail in Georgia. There were no sexual charges filed against Rachel Lenhardt, because the age of consent in the state of Georgia is 16. My question then is this…Is this what it has come to? In an attempt to be “friends” with our teenage children, are we forgetting how to be a parent and lead them down the right path? Teenagers are already forced to grow up quicker every year with the influence of social media and reality television programming showing them that this is what is acceptable and even celebrated today. Gone are the days of teaching children to be respectful and think about how the decisions they make today can affect them later in life. These types of stories are what scares me for the future of young people today, I just hope someone will take the time to guide them in the right direction.
